Puzzle 6: Mysterious Ruins Part 2

This is the sixth and final puzzle of Leonora's adventure. You enter deeper in the mysterious ruins on your search for a statue of the wizard Merlin. Once you find it you notice that he appears to be holding a book.

The statue of Merlin has three runes on the bottom of the pedestal. He is also holding a book that contains famous words that the wizard lived by and a translation of certain runes. These things will all guide you to your final answer.

Once you have translated the runes on the pedestal with Merlin's book you need to take a closer look at the sentences on the second page. They contain a hidden message (numbers) that will help you solve the puzzle. You won't be needing the numbers '982' on the pedestal, this is just Merlin's birth year.

This is a hard puzzle but you're nearly there! You have translated the runes on Merlin's pedestal but did you know they indicate the sentences you'll need to use. So you will already have the sequence '146' so take a look at the first, fourth, and sixth sentence on the second page of the book. There you will find a hidden number in each sentence. For example, the fifth sentence has the number two in it, you'll find it in 'aT WOrk'.

You got it! The answer here is "417". If you translated the runes early on you will have gotten the sequence '146'. This sequence isn't your final answer but it does indicate which sentences you will need (the first, the fourth, and the sixth sentence). If you take a look at the first sentence, you will notice the hidden number is '4' (of our). When you look at the fourth sentence you will find the number '1' (honest). For the last one, you take a look at the sixth sentence which gives you a '7' (this evening). So in that order, you will be left with 417.
